Job summary

RaceTrac, Inc. is seeking a Motor Fuel Tax Manager to oversee the accuracy and maintenance of motor fuel tax rules and transaction setup within Right Angle, ensuring seamless integration with tax systems, ERP, billing, and operations.

The role collaborates with Tax Operations and multiple teams to develop well-supported tax positions, identify risks, and drive improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, project management skills, and a proactive approach to enhancing

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of motor fuels tax, excise tax, indirect tax, accounting, or related experience.
• Experience translating business requirements and tax rules into system, process, or transaction set-up requirements.
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional tax, systems, process-improvement, regulatory-change, or strategic-growth projects.
• Ability to identify risks, evaluate alternatives, develop well-supported recommendations, and elevate significant decisions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to gather facts from diverse stakeholders and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Tax, ERP, and business teams to support growth initiatives through tax and system considerations.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to translate business facts into system and tax requirements.
• Lead end-to-end implementation of rule and setup changes, including testing and validation.
• Maintain and enhance motor fuel tax rules and transaction setup within RightAngle and PDI.
• Ensure compliance considerations are addressed before changes are implemented.
• Lead, coach, and develop one to two junior team members and drive projects to completion.
