RaceTrac is seeking an experienced Motor Fuel Tax Operations Manager to ensure accurate tax rule setup and timely transaction configurations within Right Angle. You will work across Accounting, ERP, and billing teams to implement tax requirements and maintain compliance.

You will lead a small team, drive process improvements, and manage audits and licensing tasks while communicating risks and decisions to senior leadership. Strong Excel and analytical skills are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation or related field.
• 6–8 years of motor fuels tax, excise tax, indirect tax, accounting, or related experience.
• Experience translating business requirements and tax rules into system, process, or transaction setup requirements.

Responsabilités

• Lead, coach, and develop analysts; set expectations and accountability for team results.
• Oversee motor fuels tax compliance across entities and jurisdictions; manage calendars, filings, and audit-ready support.
• Review returns, reconciliations, notices, journal entries, and provider deliverables; identify gaps and escalate when needed.
• Manage motor fuels tax audits, notices, and information requests; coordinate resources and deadlines.
• Oversee reconciliations, accruals, and licenses; ensure timely resolution of reconciling items.
• Coordinate outsourced compliance resources; define deliverables and monitor quality.
• Support process improvements, automation, and system changes with documented procedures.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to gather facts, translate tax rules into actionable steps.
