Koto in Los Angeles is seeking a Motion Design Director to lead and develop our motion design team, working with Creative Directors to translate bold brand ideas into distinctive motion identities.

You will stay hands-on while guiding a team, championing craft, and exploring new tools like 3D, generative AI, and evolving motion systems to elevate our work.

This role offers a path to influence studio culture, growth, and the range of Koto's motion work across Culver City and beyond.

Formación

• Extensive motion design experience with brand identities and motion systems.
• Experience leading and developing motion design teams.
• Strong branding understanding to translate concepts into motion identities.
• Proficiency in After Effects, 3D workflows, Figma, and generative AI.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of motion designers to foster craft, experimentation, and growth.
• Partner with Creative Directors to translate concepts into distinctive motion identities and systems.
• Develop and strengthen our motion offering in Los Angeles, expanding capabilities and methods.
• Remain hands-on, directing exceptional motion work while guiding the team with feedback and direction.
• Present motion concepts and decisions to clients in partnership with Creative Directors.
