Job summary

MATTE seeks an Associate Creative Director, Design to lead and execute high‑level creative across brand, campaigns, experiential and digital work. The role requires hands‑on leadership, deep knowledge of motion, animation, CGI, VFX and post‑production workflows, and the ability to guide internal teams and external partners from concept to delivery.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a creative agency, design studio, or fast-paced environment.
• 4+ years leading significant creative projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• A portfolio demonstrating strong design and creative direction across brand, campaign, content, experiential and/or digital work.
• Demonstrated experience directing motion design, animation, CGI, VFX and/or post-production work.
• Strong understanding of animation and post-production pipelines and guiding specialist teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead ideation, design and development of brand, campaign, experiential, content, digital and motion‑led creative.
• Develop and communicate clear creative direction across visual identity, graphic design, motion and moving image.
• Collaborate with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Designers, Copywriters and Producers to shape work.
• Lead creative work from concept through production and final delivery.
• Translate concepts into briefs, storyboards and direction for teams and partners.
• Maintain high craft across multiple projects and fast-moving workstreams.
• Create and present compelling client presentations and articulate creative rationale.
• Support new business pitches and pitch reviews.
• Determine strongest creative approach and production method per assignment.
• Evolve MATTE's brand and creative vision across channels.
