Job summary

AMETEK is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to drive revenue across a wide motion solutions portfolio, including BLDC, gear, and stepper motors, as well as related blowers, fans, pumps and controls. You will manage OEM accounts, develop growth opportunities, and provide deep technical support to engineers and purchasing teams.

You will collaborate with engineering and operations to design solutions, participate in trade shows, and help forecast sales while traveling roughly half the time to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field; 3–5 years of technical selling experience.
• 3–5 years' technical sales experience selling to OEMs for electromechanical products.
• Knowledge of airflow products and applications and a solid mechanical/electronics background.
• Strong understanding of motion control technologies including BLDC, gear and stepper motors.
• Account management experience with OEMs in niche markets.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (≈50%).

Responsibilities

• Manage customer accounts within the territory, focusing on OEMs across product lines.
• Drive leads into growth opportunities and convert them into sales wins.
• Develop sales strategies to achieve market share growth and profitability.
• Provide commercial and technical support across the full product portfolio.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations on new or modified solutions.
• Attend trade shows and industry events to promote offerings.
• Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports for management and training.
