Job summary

Nidec Motor Corporation in the United States is seeking a skilled Sales/Application Engineer to provide technical and commercial support for drives, motion control, and related automation solutions. You will work with End-users, OEMs, distributors, and field staff to promote products, size systems, and develop demonstrations.

The role requires extensive product proficiency, hands-on programming, and the ability to travel regionally (25–50%).

Qualifications

Four year technical engineering degree required or equivalent.
Five+ years engineering and automation sales experience.
Experience with drives and motion control, PLCs, and motion controllers.
Proficient in motion control programming and IEC61131 platforms.
Experience implementing servo drives and VFDs; familiarity with industrial protocols.

Responsibilities

Provide technical sales and application support to field staff to promote products and services.
Demonstrate Nidec Drives products to customers and tailor demonstrations to applications.
Size drives, motors and peripherals for customer applications.
Prepare training and sales presentations showcasing capabilities and demos.
Assist customers in selecting products and mentor other sales/technical staff.
Assist customers by developing software for complex machinery or debugging
Support engineering and field service through emails, calls, tickets, and site visits.
Make scheduled on-site visits to OEMs, distributors and end users; travel regionally.
Travel requirements: 25%–50%.
