Job summary

Acme Barricades is seeking a Maintenance of Traffic laborer to perform temporary traffic control operations on roadway projects. The role focuses on protecting the public, coordinating detours and lane closures, and ensuring compliance with MOT guidelines.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years MOT experience and a High School Diploma or GED, with Advanced MOT Certification preferred. A valid driver’s license may be required for company vehicle duties and occasional on-site driving.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in Maintenance of Traffic / Temporary Traffic Control or related industry (i.e. Road Construction, Highway Maintenance, Construction)
• High School Diploma/GED and be able to communicate clearly both written and verbally
• Advanced MOT Certification Preferred

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain traffic control devices, installation and service work-zone signs, and lights
• Coordinate MOT activity including detours and lane closures
• Deliver / Pick-up equipment from customer jobsites
• Complete daily paperwork and reports
• If approved driver, may operate a company vehicle and maintain company standards with Motor Vehicle Record
• Perform all other duties as assigned
