Job summary

Lane Construction is seeking a MOT Supervisor to oversee Maintenance of Traffic on a major project in Renton, WA. You will schedule and supervise MOT crews, coordinate with equipment and field teams, and ensure adherence to closure times and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Civil/Construction or equivalent, 3+ years in heavy/highway construction, and certifications as SHA Temporary Traffic Control Manager and Flagger. Strong leadership and communication skills are a must.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil/Construction or equivalent construction experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in heavy/highway construction.
• SHA Temporary Traffic Control Manager certification.
• Flagger Certification and Flagger Trainer.
• Ability to read and analyze plans.
• Strong communication and coordination with agencies.

Responsibilities

• Schedule MOT Crews (subcontractors & self-perform) to maximize closures.
• Hire, staff and train MOT crews.
• Coordinate with equipment department to keep MOT vehicles running.
• Ensure compliance with closure times to avoid fines.
• Inspect closures daily and produce inspection reports.
• Maintain records for audit purposes.
• Inspect project for compliance with TCPs and MD SHA standards.
• Monitor crew lane closure sequence and procedure.
• Notify AHJ of upcoming closures per TRs.
• Order and procure signage for detours or TCPs.
