Job summary

Axos Bank is seeking a Warehouse Lending Specialist to own funding and collateral management for mortgage loans. You will fund and repay advances, track collateral, and coordinate with third-party custodian vendors to keep files accurate and audit-ready, while working with originators and clients to grow our warehouse lending capabilities.

This hands-on role requires precision, problem-solving, and strong written communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in the mortgage industry preferred
• Solid understanding of mortgage lending and origination process
• Experience with collateral management and third‑party document custodians is a plus
• Familiarity with loan origination systems (WLS/OptiFunder) is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Responsibilities

• Daily funding and repayment of loan advances through automated systems
• Collateral monitoring and reporting; reconcile general ledger accounts
• Intake, review, and financing of mortgage loan advances
• Ensure strict adherence to operating procedures and loan guidelines
• Wire processing and cross-application transactions
• Customer service (B2B) and portfolio management
• Oversee mortgage loan collateral files and electronic transmissions
