Job summary

WhiteCap Search is seeking an Investment Analyst for its Transaction Management team in Austin, TX. You will independently manage residential mortgage loan transactions from trade execution to settlement and post-close, coordinating with clients, counterparties, and internal teams.

The role emphasizes data-driven analysis, diligence coordination, and collaboration with finance, accounting, and servicing teams to optimize throughput and accuracy.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in residential mortgage finance, capital markets, securitization.
• Experience managing whole loan transactions through closing.
• Strong Excel, SQL, and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage residential mortgage loan transactions from trade execution through settlement and post-close activities.
• Develop and maintain transaction timelines, ensuring milestones and deliverables are completed on schedule.
• Manage counterparty onboarding and ensure internal approvals are completed prior to execution.
• Coordinate due diligence activities with third-party diligence firms, internal teams, clients, and sellers.
• Track, report, analyze, and address loan due diligence findings based on compliance, credit, title, valuation, servicing data, and collateral.
• Track diligence exceptions, stipulations, and issue resolution through closing.
• Identify high-risk issues and make recommendations for re-pricing or adjustments for whole loan acquisitions and sales.
• Prepare, validate, and distribute collateral tapes, loan data, and transaction reporting.
• Coordinate settlement activities, funding schedules, collateral transfers, and post-closing reconciliations.
• Coordinate execution of transaction documentation such as NDAs, MLPAs, ISAs, and trade confirmations.
• Support financing and securitization transactions through coordination with dealers, trustees, custodians, rating agencies, and warehouse lenders.
• Collaborate with Finance & Accounting to support invoicing, settlement reporting, and revenue recognition.
• Maintain transaction pipeline reporting and settlement forecasts.
• Identify opportunities to improve transaction processes and operational efficiency.
• Assist in implementing technology initiatives and workflow enhancements.
• Build strong working relationships with trading desk, clients, originators, servicers, diligence providers, and counterparties.
• Mentor analysts and junior team members on transaction processes and best practices.
