Job summary

Guild Mortgage Company in San Diego is seeking a Mortgage Trader to manage interest rate risk by pricing and executing MBS and whole loan trades on multiple platforms, supporting the production pipeline and lock desk activities.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience in mortgage trading, and the ability to work with sales and production teams to optimize pricing and hedging strategies. Exempt full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting strongly preferred, or related field.
Minimum 4 years' experience in trading related role(s).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Trade mortgage-backed securities, GSE cash and whole loan commitments to hedge interest rate risk.
Execute electronic TBA trades via Bloomberg FIT Platform and related channels.
Monitor intraday market conditions and price movements of MBS and Treasuries.
Collaborate with Sales and Production on pricing, locking, and policy decisions.
Maintain knowledge of loan programs and guidelines to support teammates.
