Job summary

Benchmark Mortgage is seeking a Hedging & Trading Specialist to join its capital markets desk in Plano, TX. The role focuses on Non-QM loan committing, hedging support, and maintaining daily data and reporting to back the interest rate hedge.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in mortgage banking or financial services, strong Excel skills, and high accuracy in a market-driven schedule. Responsibilities include pricing, committing loans, and producing hedge-related reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, Business or related field.
• 2–3 years mortgage banking or financial services experience.
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, and SUMIFS.
• Ability to work with fixed income concepts and hedging basics.

Responsibilities

• Price and commit Non-QM loans to investors and aggregators with accurate terms.
• Prepare daily hedge package for Senior Trader and summarize exposure and pipeline changes.
• Track daily loan-level pipeline across LOS, pricing engine, and hedge analytics platform.
• Build and submit bid tapes and monitor pricing by counterparty.
• Maintain commitment calendar, delivery windows, and roll/pair-off exposure.
• Enter trades and reconcile dealer confirms, settlements and pair-offs.
• Produce daily/weekly/monthly secondary marketing and P&L reports.
