Job summary

Perseus Group is seeking a MBS Trader in Chevy Chase, MD to join a hybrid team requiring 2 days in the office. The role involves supporting hedge strategies, executing trades in TBAs and related securities, and delivering analytics across mortgage risk and valuation.

The ideal candidate will have 0–3+ years in fixed income mortgage trading or risk management, with strong quantitative skills and excellent communication abilities. Competitive salary and full benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
• 0–3+ years of fixed income mortgage trading, portfolio, or risk management experience.
• Strong quantitative skills with solid grounding in math and statistics.

Responsibilities

• Support Hedge Account Management Team in evaluating, defining, and executing hedge strategies and risk analytics.
• Execute hedge trades on behalf of clients using forward-traded TBA and other market instruments.
• Assist with mortgage valuation analytics, report development, testing, and feedback.
• Monitor risk positions in the mortgage pipeline and alert on policy-limit exceptions.
• Maintain relationships with Broker/Dealer community and mortgage bankers to expand credit availability.
