Job summary

Blaze Credit Union in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a Mortgage Servicing Specialist to support borrowers through the life of their loan. You will respond to inquiries via phone or secure messaging, process servicing transactions, and maintain accurate loan records while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires 1–2 years in financial services, strong communication skills, and proficiency with mortgage software.

Qualifications

Minimum high school degree or equivalent.
1–2 years financial or similar experience.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks.
Knowledge of mortgage servicing processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

Respond to borrower and internal inquiries about payments, escrow, balances, fees, payoffs and activity.
Research and resolve loan servicing issues, discrepancies, and corrections.
Process payments, adjustments, escrow transactions, payoffs and other servicing activities accurately.
Maintain accurate documentation of account activity and borrower communications.
Follow servicing procedures, investor guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve loan-level issues.
Provide professional, empathetic, solutions-focused customer service.
Process PMI cancellations and manage loss-draft requests.
Track paid-off mortgages and draft/record releases.
