Job summary

Fifth Third Bank, National Association in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Area Sales Manager I to lead a team of Mortgage Loan Officers, drive personal and team production from application to closing, and foster strong referral partnerships.

You will mentor MLOs, monitor performance against KPIs, ensure compliance with federal and bank policies, and develop strategic plans to grow loan volume in the assigned area, while maintaining exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
• 2-4 years residential mortgage sales experience.
• Knowledge of conventional, government, and portfolio guidelines.
• Previous management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mortgage processing, underwriting and closing procedures.
• Knowledge of federal lending regulations governing real estate lending.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, teamwork, and customer service skills.
• Must lead by example and have a high level of integrity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and foster referral source relationships with realtors, builders, and professional/personal networks.
• Develop a sales culture and sales-focused environment within the team.
• Develop and foster relationships with Financial Center personnel to build business and referrals.
• Maintain knowledge of Fifth Third Mortgage Company's policies and procedures.
• Manage a team of at least 5 MLOs and drive production via local and Bancorp reporting.
• Hold business plan reviews with the sales team and build plans to drive volume growth.
