Job summary

Key Mortgage Services in Schaumburg, IL is seeking a diligent Post Closer to monitor suspense conditions, coordinate document tracking, and escalate issues to management to ensure timely clearance within investor timeframes.

The role requires at least 1 year of post-closing experience, familiarity with quality control standards, and strong communication skills. Proficiency with Encompass and Microsoft Office is preferred, with a fast-paced, team-oriented environment offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 years post-closing experience required.
• Familiarity with industry quality control standards and fraud detection methods.
• Excellent people skills.
• Proficient knowledge of technology including office equipment (printers, scanners, etc).
• Proficient computer skills including Google Suite, Microsoft Word, and Excel. Experience with Encompass preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review daily investor portals for suspense conditions, monitor notifications of deficiency to prioritize daily work flow
• Update suspense conditions in Loan Originations System (Encompass) for doc tracking and root cause analysis.
• Track, gather and upload any documents required to clear suspense conditions
• Refute any invalid investor suspense conditions
• Professionally communicate with all departments necessary to obtain documentation in a timely fashion.
• Monitor and respond to post-purchase audit and file requests from internal and external examiners, auditors, investors, quality control providers or other external parties as assigned by management.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within post-closing, secondary market, and servicing transfer operations.
• Be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

It is the Post Closer’s daily responsibility to track, monitor and clear suspense conditions within the investor’s given timeframe and to escape to a manager any problems that may arise so that these can be resolved without expense. If follow up with a customer is required, the highest standards of professionalism and service are to be followed in any written or verbal communications.

Salary Range

• $47,000-52,000
