Job summary

AmeriNat is seeking a Mortgage Payoff Specialist in Palatine, IL, to support mortgage payoff activities, collateral release processing, and related servicing functions. You will prepare payoff quotes, process paid-in-full loans, and respond to borrower and client inquiries with accuracy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months mortgage servicing, payoff administration or related customer service experience.
• Two or more years of mortgage servicing/payoff experience preferred.
• Experience with lien releases, mortgage satisfactions, title work, and recording activities preferred.
• Experience with mortgage servicing systems or workflow applications preferred.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to follow established procedures, workflows and investor guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Process payoff quote requests and prepare payoff calculations per procedures.
• Respond to borrower, client, attorney, title company, and third-party inquiries.
• Monitor nearing payoff and maturing loan reports and communications.
• Issue payoff shortage notifications and coordinate resolution of balances.
• Process paid-in-full loans and distribute payoff confirmations.
• Calculate and process surplus funds, refunds, and related disbursements.
• Prepare, record, and track reconveyances and lien releases.
• Coordinate with title companies, recording agencies, attorneys, borrowers and clients.
• Maintain accurate payoff and collateral release records in servicing systems.
• Support QA by identifying discrepancies and assisting with resolutions.
