Job summary

Citizens Independent Bank in Minnesota seeks a Mortgage Operations Manager to lead daily mortgage processing, underwriting, closing, and servicing support. You will guide staff, optimize workflows, and ensure regulatory compliance while supporting production goals.

This role requires strong leadership, expertise in residential mortgage operations, and familiarity with Minnesota housing programs. You will collaborate across departments to deliver excellent customer service and maintain risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of mortgage operations experience.
• Prior management or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of residential mortgage processing, underwriting, closing, and secondary market operations.
• Familiarity with Minnesota housing programs and rural lending markets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily mortgage processing, underwriting, closing, and post-closing operations.
• Lead and develop mortgage operations staff for high performance.
• Ensure timely loan processing and closings through workflow monitoring.
• Maintain compliance with federal and Minnesota mortgage regulations.
• Collaborate with lenders, underwriters, and management to meet production goals.
• Review loan quality, exceptions, audits to drive improvements.
• Manage third-party vendor relationships (title, appraisal, etc.).
• Optimize LOS, document management, imaging, and workflow systems.
• Prepare for audits and regulatory examinations.
• Analyze performance metrics and report on loan volume and turn times.
