Job summary

Newrez LLC in Tempe, AZ seeks a Loss Mitigation Supervisor to lead a team of specialists handling delinquent mortgages per investor guidelines. You will guide management, mentor staff, and oversee analyses of financials and title reports to determine resolutions.

The role requires 6+ years in Loss Mitigation, 2–4 years of supervision, and strong analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills. Office-based position with opportunity contribute to process improvements and training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 6+ years Loss Mitigation experience.
• 2-4 years supervisory experience.
• Experience analyzing financial statements, tax returns, credit reports, home appraisals, title searches.
• Foreclosure, Bankruptcy and REO experience required.
• Understanding of mortgage lending and servicing.
• Strong communication via telephone and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and leadership for management and staff.
• Lead and mentor staff to develop skills, improve processes and procedures, and increase effectiveness.
• Supervises analysis of financial statements, tax returns, credit reports, valuation reports to approve resolutions.
• Tracks, monitors, and measures employee performance; provides monthly feedback.
• Oversees training of new employees and maintains materials.
• Maintain process and procedure documentation for the Loss Mitigation team.
• Ensure appropriate review and approval of a Loss Mitigation Workout.
• Oversee day-to-day tasks and performance of Loss Mitigation Specialists.
• Assist in controlling expenses and staffing costs.
• Arrange contractual services for inspections, appraisers, agents involved in collateral.
• Schedule and monitor all employee time records.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Undertake special projects and other duties as assigned.
