Job summary

M&T Bank in Boston is seeking a Loan Officer Assistant to support the Loan Officer team by handling sales system tasks and document control. You will ensure accurate data, timely communications, and smooth processing of loan applications.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, knowledge of mortgage processes, and ability to travel regionally. This position works within the Mortgage Sales function and aligns with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 2 years mortgage/finance experience.
• Knowledge of Secondary Marketing requirements.
• Knowledge of FHA/VA regulations.
• Knowledge of Bank products and services.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communications.
• Willingness to travel regionally and work overtime if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide seamless experience for Mortgage customers ensuring organized, accurate, timely communications.
• Be SME for Mortgage Sales systems; input and manage customer data and documents.
• Interact with customers to complete applications and documents; assist Operations as needed.
• Assist loan officer with reporting: create, run, monitor and organize data.
• Maintain knowledge of Mortgage products, processes and regulations.
• Provide general sales, marketing, and operational support for the team.
• Maintain internal controls and address audit/regulator issues.
• Meet registration requirements under the Federal SAFE Act.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.
