Job summary

City National Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor I to review all new loan applications, verify borrower documents, and prepare files for underwriting on single-family 1-4 properties, ensuring completeness and accuracy.

You will generate regulatory disclosures, coordinate with the Residential Loan Consultant, underwriting and closing teams, order verifications, and respond to borrowers and vendors as the loan moves through processing.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of loan processing experience in mortgage banking or related financial institution.
• Familiarity with FNMA/FHLMC guidelines and standard industry guidelines.
• Knowledge of state and federal lending regulations (e.g. RESPA, Reg Z, ECOA).
• Must be in good standing under Safe Act and able to register with NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Review new loan applications to ensure borrower documents are complete and ready for underwriting.
• Prepare and mail regulatory disclosures within required timeframes.
• Review files upon receipt, input data, and maintain proper file order.
• Open/order verifications and coordinate with escrow, title, credit vendors, and appraisers.
• Input data for processing conventional mortgage loans for single-family properties.
• Provide support to Residential Loan Consultant, underwriting, and closing departments.
• Assist in weekly pipeline planning and meet deadlines.
• Support CRA and Equal Employment Opportunity programs.
