Job summary

Delta Community Credit Union in Atlanta is seeking a Home Loan Processor to review and verify mortgage loan documentation for residential mortgages, applying Fannie Mae and company underwriting guidelines and applicable regulations to ensure accurate processing.

You will coordinate with the Residential Lending team, third-party vendors, and borrowers, manage required documentation, and maintain compliance while meeting closing timelines in a hybrid, full-time role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mortgage loan processing experience using Fannie Mae Guidelines.
• Knowledge of federal regulations including RESPA, HMDA, ECOA, FCRA, FDPA and REG Z.
• Ability to coordinate activities with underwriters, attorneys, appraisers and credit union members.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Complies with all Credit Union policies and procedures including BSA regulations.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify documentation in mortgage loan files (income, assets, liabilities, credit reports).
• Initiate requests for required documentation (appraisals, title reports, flood certificates, insurance, verifications).
• Ensure files meet underwriting submission guidelines for Fannie Mae or Delta Community Credit Union.
• Submit files for underwriting using Desktop Underwriter or manual underwriting.
• Maintain current policies, guidelines, and compliance related to mortgage regulations and investors.
• Maintain communication with internal teams, third-party vendors, and borrowers regarding qualifications and approvals/denials.
• Ensure specified closing timelines are met.
• Position may offer work from home opportunities.
