Job summary

Truist is seeking a Mortgage Marketing and Referral Specialist to drive loan production and cross-sell strategies within bank policies. The role focuses on delivering client-focused mortgage guidance and expanding opportunities through Truist’s suite of bank products.

The position requires knowledge of mortgage products, strong communication, and the ability to manage referrals while meeting regulatory requirements. Travel and overtime may be required as part of the business needs.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in banking or lending with basic knowledge of residential property types.
• Good organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Possesses solid interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in relevant computer applications.
• Must be SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliant within 30 days of employment, including new or transfer of registration, and applicable NMLS background check.

Responsibilities

• Execute effective mortgage marketing and development plans to meet or exceed mortgage production goals.
• Maintain a complete and thorough knowledge of Mortgage Strategies, Policies and Procedures, and secondary market investor guidelines.
• Adhere to and comply with Truist policies and procedures related to internal and external rules and regulations, particularly state and federal law.
• Provide mortgage clients sound mortgage advice based on client needs and Truist Mortgage products and their benefits.
• Consistently execute Truist's referral process by introducing mortgage clients to other bank solutions.
• Assist Mortgage Loan Fulfillment with document follow-up as determined through quality control or post-closing review.
