Job summary

Trustmark Bank in Brookhaven, MS is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to advise customers on loan options, disclose fees, and gather documents to process mortgage requests. You will determine best loan products and build referrals from realtors and builders.

You will originate and promote Trustmark’s Community Lending Loans, coordinate with mortgage operations, and ensure compliance with government and conventional guidelines while delivering superior service to a diverse borrower base.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of originating agency eligible mortgage loans or similar experience.
• Eligible for NMLS certification.
• Thorough knowledge of government and conventional mortgage guidelines.
• Ability to analyze documentation for agency and portfolio requirements.
• Knowledge of appraisal standards and assessability.
• Disclose and handle all applications per compliance regulations.

Responsibilities

• Determine the best loan product for customers.
• Develop marketing plans and referrals from agents and builders.
• Provide guidance for inquiries on pricing, documentation, and closing costs.
• Complete applications and gather documents for FHA, VA, Conventional, or portfolio loans.
• Develop referrals from internal and external sources and maintain realtor relationships.
• Originate and promote Community Lending Loans and products.
• Coordinate with mortgage dept. in origination and servicing of community lending products.
