Job summary

Talentify in Brookhaven, MS is seeking a mortgage loan specialist to help customers understand loan options, disclose fees, and gather the data needed to process mortgage requests. Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience originating agency eligible mortgage loans or equivalent underwriting/processing experience
• Eligible for NMLS certification
• Thorough knowledge of government and conventional mortgage guidelines and requirements
• Extensive knowledge of qualifying variables between mortgage loan products
• Ability to analyze all documentation for agency/portfolio requirements
• Knowledge of appraisal standards and acceptability
• Ability to produce tax return analysis per conforming loan guidelines
• Must disclose and handle all applications per compliance regulations
• Ability to work with varied borrowers and housing-related entities
• Knowledge of financial compliance and regulatory requirements
• Computer skills and basic analytical abilities

Responsibilities

• Determine the best loan product for customer
• Devise marketing plans to seek referrals from agents and builders
• Provide guidance for loan inquiries on pricing, documentation, payments, and closing costs
• Complete applications and gather documents for FHA, VA, Conventional, etc
• Develop referrals from internal and external sources; maintain realtor relationships
• Originate and promote Community Lending Loans and Products
• Coordinate and assist mortgage dept. in origination and servicing of Community lending products
