Job summary

Newrez seeks a Loan Officer to grow mortgage loan business by cultivating referrals, meeting clients in person, and presenting Newrez products. You will negotiate terms, gather documentation, and coordinate with processing to move loans through underwriting and closing.

The role requires an active MLO license, at least 3 years of lending origination experience, and strong PC skills. A comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Active state MLO license in each state where business is conducted.
• High-school diploma or GED with a minimum requirement.
• At least 3 years of lending origination experience.
• Strong PC skills including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Lotus Notes.
• Solid knowledge of state and local real estate markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain referral sources; meet with prospective clients.
• Sell mortgage loan products and negotiate terms with borrowers.
• Complete loan applications and coordinate with processing centers.
• Input loans into AUS (DU/LP) for underwriting decisions.
• Ensure compliance and maintain knowledge of market conditions.
