Job summary

Newrez is seeking a Mortgage Consultant to originate a variety of loans for our existing customers. You will respond to leads via phone from internet, direct mail campaigns, referrals, and other channels, assessing borrower needs and presenting suitable products.

You will collect required documents to close loans, meet monthly sales goals, and stay current on mortgage industry trends while adhering to our Code of Conduct. Active NMLS license is required.

Qualifications

• Origination experience in mortgage or banking required.
• 2+ years’ origination experience.
• Active NMLS license.
• Solid understanding of appraisals, title reports and product guidelines.
• Experience utilizing persuasive communication skills, inside sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Originate purchase and refinance loans by responding to leads via phone from internet, direct mail, referrals or other campaigns.
• Engage with consumers to determine needs and offer appropriate products.
• Take mortgage loan applications by phone and prepare loan proposals.
• Obtain information to close loans including credit reports, income verification, and appraisals.
• Meet individual monthly sales goals.
• Stay informed of trends in the mortgage industry.
• Maintain compliance with the NewRez Code of Conduct.
