Job summary
Newrez is seeking a proactive Loan Officer to sell mortgage products and develop referral networks with real estate agents, financial advisors, and clients. You will meet clients at homes or other locations and drive loan applications from intake to closing.
You will analyze financial information, negotiate terms, and ensure regulatory compliance while building strong relationships with borrowers and referral sources. This role requires an active MLO license and previous origination experience.
Qualifications
- Active state MLO license in states where business is conducted.
- High-school diploma or GED must be obtained.
- 3+ years lending origination experience.
- Strong PC skills and familiarity with common office software.
- Solid knowledge of state and local real estate markets.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain referrals from clients and real estate professionals.
- Meet clients in person at locations such as client homes.
- Explain loan products and terms to borrowers and agents.
- Prepare loan applications and coordinate with processing centers.
- Ensure compliance with lending regulations and company policies.
- Negotiate rates and terms to secure approved loans.
