Job summary

Guild Mortgage is seeking an Originating Loan Officer Assistant in Columbia, SC, to support originators by preparing loan files, gathering documents, and ensuring compliance throughout the processing cycle.

You will educate clients on mortgage options, gather paystubs, tax returns, W-2s, and other disclosures while coordinating with underwriters, processors, realtors, and lenders to move loans toward approval and closing.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' experience in Mortgage lending or related field.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist originator in preparation of loan files and submission to processing.
• Educate clients on mortgage products and options; collect documentation (paystubs, tax returns, W-2s, bank statements).
• Coordinate with underwriters, processors, realtors, and lenders to facilitate loan approval and closing.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain client relationships throughout the loan process.
