Job summary

Regions Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer in New Orleans who will direct origination of residential mortgage loans from a borrower through a branch network. This full-time role requires forging relationships with realtors, builders, and financial planners to develop new business and grow production.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year mortgage lending experience with proven mortgage production.
• Experience developing external business via referral partners in the market.

Responsibilities

• Completes mortgage applications for submission to the loan processing and underwriting departments.
• Evaluates loan requests, analyzes financial data, and determines qualification of collateral and customer credit history.
• Maintains contact with loan customers, communicating progress of loan and obtaining required documentation.
• Structures loan to comply with lending practices and Federal regulations.
• Establishes detailed marketing/business plan and frequency of contact with potential and existing customers.
• Cross-sells other bank products and services.
