Job summary

Regions Bank in New Orleans, LA seeks a Mortgage Loan Officer to direct residential loan origination through a branch network. You will complete applications, evaluate requests, and maintain ongoing customer contact while cross-selling Regions products.

This commission-based role requires NMLS registration, a high school diploma or GED, and experience fostering external business via realtors and other partners. Location: New Orleans, LA.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of mortgage lending experience with proven production.
• Abundant mortgage experience in developing external business via referral partners (realtors, builders,financial planners).

Responsibilities

• Completes mortgage applications for submission to loan processing and underwriting.
• Evaluates loan requests, analyzes financial data, and determines qualification of collateral and customer credit history.
• Maintains contact with loan customers and communicates loan progress.
• Structures loan to comply with lending practices and regulations.
• Establishes marketing plans and frequency of contact with potential and existing customers.
• Answers customer calls and walk-ins to discuss loan products and qualifications.
• Makes sales calls to develop or retain business and cross-sell products.
• Reads surveys and appraisals and ensures compliance with regulations.
