Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of mortgage lending experience with proven production.
• Experience developing external business via referrals (realtors, builders, financial planners).

Responsibilities

• Completes mortgage applications for submission to processing and underwriting.
• Evaluates loan requests, analyzes financial data, and determines qualification of collateral and customer credit history.
• Maintains contact with loan customers, communicates progress, and collects required documentation.
• Structures loans to comply with lending practices and Federal regulations.
• Establishes detailed marketing plans including networks of potential and existing customers and frequency of contact.
• Answers customer calls and walks-in discussions about loan products and qualification information.
• Makes sales calls to develop or retain customers per Regions marketing plan.
• Cross-sells other bank products and services.
• Reads surveys and appraisals and takes steps to correct encroachments and violations.
• May participate in networking to promote and market loan products.
