First Service Bank in Arkansas is seeking a Mortgage Loan Assistant for a full-time, statewide role. You will support loan officers, gather borrower documentation, answer questions, and update the LOS to keep loans moving from application through closing.

Collaborate with processors, underwriters, title companies, and appraisers, while maintaining deadlines and providing a smooth borrower experience. Statewide flexibility and benefits accompany this opportunity.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in mortgage, banking, or financial services preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
• Knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA, and RD loans (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Support Loan Officers with new loan applications and file setup
• Collect and review borrower documentation (income, assets, credit, etc.)
• Communicate with borrowers to request missing information
• Enter and update data in the Loan Origination System (LOS)
• Monitor loan files to ensure completeness before processing
• Coordinate with processors, underwriters, title companies, and appraisers
• Track deadlines and maintain accurate documentation
• Provide exceptional service from application through closing
