Job summary

M&T Bank in Lake Oswego, Oregon seeks a Mortgage Originator Liaison to support loan officers, build referral networks and provide sales, marketing and operations assistance for a smooth loan process.

You'll ensure applications are complete, obtain required documents, track conditions, coordinate with processors, underwriters and closers, and maintain federal SAFE Act registration, while delivering courteous, compliant service to customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of Secondary Marketing requirements.
• Knowledge of FHA/VA regulations.
• Knowledge of Bank products and services.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Flexible to travel within region and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist Loan Officer in developing referral sources and client base.
• Assist Loan Officer in developing and implementing marketing/sales support programs.
• Interact with customers to complete the application process and gather documents.
• Provide follow-up on loan conditions as required by commitments.
• Coordinate with processors, underwriters, and closers to ensure files are complete.
• Serve as liaison between customer, M&T Bank and loan officer.
• Maintain and organize loan documents for all loan programs.
• Take loan applications and input data into processing system.
• Assist Loan Officer in providing required reporting.
• Adhere to compliance/operational risk controls and audit requirements.
• Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.
