Job summary

The Roar in Chicago is seeking a capable Loan Officer, Inside Sales, to engage borrowers through inbound and proactive outreach as part of a consumer-direct mortgage sales team.

You will assess financing needs, present mortgage options, and guide applicants from inquiry to closing, while meeting production goals and maintaining compliance.

This hybrid role emphasizes timely follow-up, accurate CRM records, and collaboration with processing and underwriting to ensure smooth funding.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s in Business/Finance preferred.
• Active NMLS license required with multiple state licenses preferred.
• 2+ years’ inside sales mortgage originations experience with production targets.
• Residential loan origination experience preferred; LOS experience (Encompass) advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls and proactive outbound calls to leads and customers using approved telephony tools.
• Respond promptly to borrower inquiries, follow contact cadences, and complete callbacks to maximize engagement.
• Meet KPIs for funded loan volume, loan count, call activity, and pipeline performance while ensuring quality and compliance.
• Originate loans from company-provided leads; self-generated leads may be included but not expected.
• Perform consultative borrower interviews to assess financing objectives and recommend mortgage solutions.
• Explain options, pricing, terms, and requirements clearly; avoid misleading statements.
• Maintain timely, accurate CRM and LOS records with next steps and pipeline status.
• Coordinate with processing, underwriting, and closing teams to resolve issues and ensure timely funding.
• Stay current on mortgage programs and regulatory requirements; follow disclosures and Do-Not-Call rules.
• Participate in training and team meetings; demonstrate professional conduct and company values.
