Job summary

Village Capital & Investment LLC is seeking a Compliance Testing Analyst to perform compliance testing across the mortgage lifecycle, including origination, underwriting, servicing, and default servicing. The role emphasizes applying federal/state mortgage laws, agency guidelines, and investor requirements to evaluate controls and ensure regulatory adherence.

The ideal candidate will review files, data, and documentation, identify violations or gaps, and communicate findings with stakeholders.

Qualifications

Experience in mortgage compliance auditing or related regulatory functions.
Experience with end-to-end mortgage lifecycle: origination, underwriting, servicing, and default management.
Strong analytical, investigative, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
Proficiency in creating clear, concise audit findings and reports.

Responsibilities

Plan and conduct compliance testing reviews across mortgage origination, underwriting, closing, post-closing, servicing, and default servicing activities.
Review loan files and system data for compliance with regulatory requirements.
Evaluate compliance with Ginnie Mae, FHA/HUD, USDA Rural Development, Fannie Mae, and other agency guidelines.
Prepare audit scopes, testing procedures, and evidence requirements; document findings and remediation actions.
