Onity Group Inc. is seeking an Assignment Specialist to handle mortgage assignments, review chain of title and custody, and determine signing authority using internal matrices. The role stresses timely and courteous responses to inquiries and strong customer service for both external and internal customers.

Qualifications

• One-year mortgage servicing or related experience.
• Working knowledge of mortgage documents.
• Must have strong communication skills.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Must possess strong organizational skills and be able to handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Review, print, and execute assignments of mortgages to perfect chain of title.
• Notarize documents executed in your presence.
• Utilize internal matrices to determine signing authority and signature requirements.
• Follow up with third parties and attorney firms as needed for pending documents.
• Work with and support internal parties including the Foreclosure and Bankruptcy processes.
• Address email inquiries related to statuses for documents being processed or related to completed chain of title.
