Job summary

The Bungalow in Tiburon, CA is hiring a reliable Dishwasher / Kitchen Steward to join our Back of House team. This morning position supports the culinary team by maintaining a clean, organized kitchen and ensuring swift turnaround during service.

Responsibilities include washing and sanitizing dishes, keeping the dish area sanitary, and assisting cooks as needed. Eligible candidates have strong work ethic and can stand for long periods; Food Handler certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as a dishwasher or in a kitchen is preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
• Willingness to obtain a Food Handler Certification.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and equipment.
• Ensure kitchen areas meet food safety standards.
• Assist with garbage disposal, recycling, and keeping workspace clean.

The Bungalow is looking for a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher / Kitchen Steward to join our kitchen team. We are seeking someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment while supporting the culinary team.

This is a morning position, offering a great work-life balance while working in one of Marin County's premier waterfront restaurants.

Schedule

• Wednesday through Friday: 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM
• Opportunity for additional shifts on Saturdays and Sundays
• Part-time position with the potential for additional hours

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Ensure all kitchen areas are kept clean and compliant with food safety standards.
• Assist with garbage disposal, recycling, and maintaining a clean workspace.
• Support cooks with basic kitchen tasks and organization when needed.
• Maintain proper sanitation procedures throughout the shift.
• Help ensure the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently during service. Qualifications
• Previous dishwasher or kitchen experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical tasks.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain one).
