Job summary

Kiawah Island Golf Resort, on Johns Island near Charleston, SC, seeks a Server for Jasmine Porch. Under supervision of the Restaurant Manager, you’ll prepare dining rooms and assist guests, ensuring attentive service throughout their dining experience.

Position requires high school diploma or equivalent, 21+ for alcohol service, and prior serving experience. On-site shifts 5:30am-12:30pm or 7am-3:30/4pm. On-site perks include health benefits and staff programs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required (college degree preferred).
• Minimum 21 years of age to mix and serve alcohol.
• Past serving experience required.
• Certification of alcohol awareness program and training in food, wine & liquor service preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Must be able to compute basic mathematical calculations.
• Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Good to excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• All areas kept clean and immaculate.
• Know menu and beverage offerings; maintain product knowledge.
• Speak clearly and confidently before groups.
• Ensure guest happiness in your section.
• Know daily activities, house counts, and hours of operation for each outlet.
• Know all menu items, specials, 86'd items, liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic options.
• Understand table/seat/station numbers, setup, capacity, hours, price range, and dress code.
• Be a positive team player with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Assist teammates with daily prep, table maintenance, and teamwork.
