Marcus Hotels & Resorts seeks a Server for Society 1854 in the Omaha Marriott Downtown to deliver tailored dining experiences, ensure guest satisfaction, and maintain professional service standards in a luxury setting.

You will greet guests, input orders, deliver meals with care, and handle payments while upholding liquor regulations and brand guidelines. Training includes tips and safety in hospitality.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, etiquette.
• One year+ service in a fine dining outlet preferred.
• Handle guest complaints with empathy and provide proactive solutions.
• Proficient in English for guest requests and reservations.
• Ability to operate a POS system and cash handling experience preferred.
• Lift up to 30 pounds unassisted.
• Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays; reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and explain specials & promotions.
• Understand menu including ingredients and preparation and delivery expectations.
• Record and input guest orders into the POS system.
• Retrieve, confirm, and deliver orders with condiments; follow liquor regulations.
• Replenish beverages and ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Collect payment, thank guests, and invite them to return.
• Complete side work and cleaning tasks including restocking prompts.
• Address and resolve guest complaints.

What will you be doing?

• Greet guests and explain specials & promotions.
• Understand menu including ingredients and preparation of the dishes to the delivery and service expected to accompany the dish.
• Record and input guest orders into the Point of Sale system.
• Retrieve, confirm, and deliver orders with condiments; follow liquor regulations.
• Replenish beverages and ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Collect payment, thank guests, and invite them to return.
• Complete side work and cleaning tasks including restocking and replenishing condiments.
• Address and resolve guest complaints.

What do you bring to the role?

• High school degree or equivalent preferred
• Must have high level of knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, etiquette, appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu items.
• One year or more of service in a fine dining outlet preferred.
• Handle customer complaints with empathy and provide proactive solutions.
• Proficient in English for guest requests, memos, and reservations.
• Ability to work POS system and cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted on occasion as well as move through crowded rooms to seat guests.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays and have reliable transportation to and from work
• Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate. TIPS and Douglas County food handler certification required. CPR certification and / or First Aid Training preferred.
