Job summary

Sage Hospitality seeks a morning/weekend/holiday capable cook to prepare food items in line with recipes and quality standards, while maintaining a safe and sanitary kitchen environment.

In this role you will start items prepared ahead, rotate perishables, monitor temps, and assist in keeping buffet stocked. You will work closely with servers and fellow staff to ensure consistent quality and minimize waste.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Minimum one-year food service or related work.
• Knowledge of cooking and kitchen procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and standards.
• Start items prepared ahead, avoid over-preparing.
• Date and rotate perishables; keep temps within SOP guidelines.
• Check pars for shift use and set up the line.
• Note shortages and assist in keeping buffet stocked.
• Return unused items to storage with date.
• Assist in controlling food costs and waste per SOP.
