Job summary

Sage Hospitality Group is seeking a kitchen team member at our Aurora property. You will prepare food to recipe standards, ensure quality and safety, and support the line during service. The role requires open availability including mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Expect to manage prep, rotate perishables, and help keep buffets stocked while controlling costs and waste per SOP. This is a full-time, on-site position at The Benson Hotel & Faculty Club on the UC Anschutz Medical Campus.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience is required.
• Minimum one year in food service or related work.
• Knowledge of cooking and kitchen practices to perform non-repetitive analytical work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food to standard recipes and quality guidelines.
• Start pre-prepared items without exceeding estimated needs.
• Label and rotate perishables, ensure proper temperatures.
• Check pars for shift use and plan prep and line setup.
• Note out-of-stock items or shortages.
• Assist in stocking buffet and returning unused items.
• Follow SOP to correct food cost problems and minimize waste.
