Job summary

The Umstead Hotel and Spa in Cary, NC seeks a Herons Cook to lead by example in all aspects of Herons production and service. Honing quality, sanitation, and fair treatment of associates, the role requires involvement in daily kitchen operations under the Chef De Cuisine and Sous Chef team.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent education required.
• One to two years kitchen experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits.
• All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per The Umstead Hotel standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example through hands-on involvement of all aspects of Herons production and service.
• Represent the Executive Chef's core values of quality, sanitation and fair treatment of associates.
• Maintain a clean, organized and efficient workplace as implemented by the Executive Chef and Chef De Cuisine.
• Report directly to the Chef De Cuisine and/or the Sous Chef Team.
