Job summary

The Umstead Hotel and Spa is seeking a Breakfast Cook to support The Herons restaurant in Cary, NC. The role involves hands-on involvement in all aspects of breakfast production and service, upholding the executive chef’s standards of quality and sanitation.

Key duties include leading by example within the kitchen, maintaining a clean and efficient workspace, and reporting to the Chef De Cuisine or Sous Chef team. A strong grooming standard and team-oriented mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Cooking experience preferred (minimum 2 years).
• Ability to obtain required licenses or permits.

Experience

• Cooking: 2 year (Preferred)

Licenses or Certificates

• Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits.

• All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per The Umstead Hotel standards.
