Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Familiarity of kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, cook and present a variety of hot and cold foods for all meal periods and events per Sodexo standards.
• Follow basic recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, and serving food.
• Estimate food requirements, monitor production, and keep records to plan production and requisition supplies.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and uphold food safety and sanitation.
• Support kitchen teamwork and adapt to account-specific client requirements.
