Job summary

Sodexo in Tampa is seeking a motivated Cook to accurately prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold foods for meals and events, in line with culinary standards. In a fast-paced kitchen, you will help ensure safety, quality, and consistent presentation while maintaining a clean workstation.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, up to 2 years of food service experience, and the ability to follow recipes and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• 0–2 years of related food service experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Knowledge of basic food-handling procedures and equipment.
• Ability to read and follow recipes unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, cook, and present hot and cold items for meals and events according to standards.
• Follow recipes and product directions for quality, safety and portion control.
• Maintain clean, organized workstation and adhere to sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with production planning and inventory as needed.
• Support kitchen team in a fast-paced environment.
