Cart.com in the United States seeks a detail-oriented Merchant of Record Accountant to own MoR accounting operations end-to-end. You will oversee payment processing, settlements, tax compliance, and financial reconciliations across brands, ensuring accuracy and strong internal controls while scaling the business.

The role requires hands-on experience with reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, and collaboration with payment vendors.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• 3–7 years of experience in payments operations, merchant services, accounting, finance, or related field in e-commerce/SaaS.
• Strong understanding of payment processing, settlements, merchant accounts, and financial controls.
• Hands-on experience preparing reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close support.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience analyzing large datasets; working knowledge of SQL and analytics tools.

Responsabilidades

• Own MoR activities and oversight across supported brands.
• Review, validate, and approve high-value transactions per controls.
• Monitor and resolve payment exceptions including settlements and refunds.
• Maintain rigorous transaction-level reviews to prevent revenue leakage.
• Prepare reconciliations and assist with month-end close and reporting.
