Job summary

CAC I International Inc is seeking a Moon Base Flight Software Development Engineer to prototype, design, develop, test, and certify flight software for NASA’s lunar programs.

You will collaborate with NASA and contractor teams to meet mission requirements and safety standards, working in Houston, TX on site as part of the Moon Base program. This role emphasizes cross-functional communication and end-to-end software lifecycle proficiency.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace, Electrical, Software, Computer or Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines required.
• Three to five years of experience in software development; experience with aerospace or mission-critical industries is valued.
• Strong C programming skills and Linux experience.
• Experience across the full software life cycle.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; team player with customer relationship skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Moon Base Flight Software.
• Perform systems engineering in support of software requirements, interface definitions, design and performance analysis.
• Perform software integration, test and verification.
• Integrate and test software/hardware in avionics test beds and flight certification environments.
• Collaborate with NASA and contractor teams across programs.
• Ensure adherence to standard software process practices at JSC.
