Job summary

CACI International Inc. is seeking a Software Systems Engineer to support NASA Moon Base flight software at Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. The role covers the full software life cycle for enabling a 5G lunar surface network for astronaut communications.

The candidate should have a strong background in real-time safety-critical software, C++, Python, and experience with NASA standard processes. This on-site position requires U.S.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
• B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Software Engineering, CS, or related discipline.
• At least five years in software systems engineering for real-time safety-critical software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with little supervision.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Support flight software requirements analysis for a 5G lunar network.
• Review and coordinate ICDs/IRDs and related documents.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans for flight software.
• Maintain a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM).
• Interface with NASA teams and participate in software boards.
