Job summary

CACI International Inc. is seeking an experienced Flight Software Systems Engineer to support NASA’s Moon Base flight software at Johnson Space Center in Houston.

You will engage in full software life cycle activities, including cybersecurity considerations, and collaborate with NASA teams to advance human-rated spaceflight software. The role emphasizes risk management, interface definitions, and verification in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• BS degree required in engineering or CS with related discipline.
• At least five years in real-time safety-critical software systems, preferably in aerospace.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support development and analysis of flight software requirements.
• Coordinate development of flight software documentation.
• Identify risks and vulnerabilities; develop mitigation plans including cybersecurity controls.
• Interface with NASA and prime contractor teams across subsystems.
• Develop and maintain RTM to ensure requirements are met.
• Support integration of flight software in test and verification facilities.
